There is internet everywhere. Even where you'd least expect it, such as a sidestreet BBQ shack in Mobile, Alabama.
We are at the "Brick Pit", which is considered the "Best Barbecue in the South" by Roadfood. We need to get back on the road in order to make it to Atlanta in time for dinner with Christian at a surprise location that he has had planned out for days, but in the meantime, here are some pictures of our Pulled Pork Shoulder and Pork Ribs platters.
Yum.
(They have a little grill out front smokes cherry wood, the smell of which wafts onto the road. What a tremendous gimmick.)
(The secret of the smoke.)
(I especially appreciate the low-effort attempt to make this sign family friendly.)
(Crystal Hot Sauce - Elizabeth from New Orleans was raving about this stuff, and they had it at the Brick Pit, so I gave it a try. Mmm. Spicy.)
(Good Alabaman grub. Forrest Gump would be proud.)
(Just like the sign says: After my delicious meal, I am glad I didn't forget to try Mrs. Waits' Homemade Banana Puddin')
On to Atlanta. Giddy up.
