I am using quotation marks in the title because the fast food here isn't particularly fast, and it isn't particularly gross, either. Therefore, I consider it to be diametrically opposed to the fast food up North.
After a morning run, Jeff and I went to Figo Pasta for lunch. It had been recommended to me by someone, but to be perfectly honest, I don't remember who gave me the nod. Anyway, in true Salomanian fashion, Jeff ordered a Caesar Salad (although his fried Seabass, which topped the salad, was a change of pace), and I followed suit by ordering their special Chicken and Bell Pepper Salad, which came drowned in dressing, but hit the spot nonetheless.
(Dressing with a side of salad.)
After lunch, Jeff and I drove through Downtown Atlanta and ran a few errands, including stopping of at Wal-Mart to pick up a new iPod. Jeff convinced me to splurge on the 16mb Nano, which can now run video. Hey, after a successful run on the Vegas Blackjack tables, I'll consider this my one gift to myself.
We returned home after our little shopping trip, and I had to find some WiFi in order to download the latest version of iTunes (which my new iPod required), so I went in search of some free internet sauce and found Taco Mac, another local chain that had been brought to my attention before the trip.
Taco Mac is known for its Buffalo Wings, so I convinced myself that a large "snack" at 4pm was a good idea. I guess I won't eat dinner until the 6th inning or something. Taco Mac actually has 7 levels of wing spiciness, and I figured I should go for the gold, so I picked out the "Death" flavor, ordered a tall glass of water, and went to town. Man, it's hard to find heat like that in New York. It's around, but in Atlanta, let's just say it's very, very accessible.
(Not that it would surprise anybody, but I went with the "Death" flavor.)
(The only kind of death I would wish upon anyone.)
Jeff and I are going to go throw a baseball around (thank you, Wal-Mart) in Piedmont Park, which is supposed to be the nicest local park around. Then, it's off to Turner Field for a 7:35pm Braves vs. Marlins showdown.
Can't wait. So excited. Practically shaking.
